One class — several year groups for the small school
Many small schools run reception to year 2 as one combined class. Now a single class can hold several year groups at once — with the right subjects and hours per cohort, one timetable and automatic year rollover.

Grade_numbers[] on the class
The class is tagged with multiple year numbers (e.g. 0, 1, 2) in a single record. A multi-grade badge appears everywhere in the UI.
Per-pupil cohort tracking
The year-group enrolment records the year group of each individual pupil — essential for tests, grades and the move to the next stage.
Correct subjects and hours per cohort
Statutory hours and subject offerings resolve per cohort, so reception pupils aren't billed for year-2 English.
Multi-grade badge in the timetable
Designer, week board, teacher and pupil views all label the multi-grade class — no doubt that the lesson covers several cohorts.
Year rollover gets it right
On rollover the next year's multi-grade class is created cleanly: oldest cohort moves on, new reception year flows in.
